Privacy Policy

petitbox ("petitbox," "we," "us") is operated by Jose Antonio Torres, based in Lima, Peru. This policy explains what personal information we collect through petitbox.art, why we collect it, and who we share it with.

Information we collect

When you place an order, request a commission, or join our mailing list, we collect what you enter directly into our forms:

• Name, email address, phone number, and shipping address
• The specific piece, color, and size you selected
• For commissions: the photograph you upload, to be reinterpreted as your triangle

We do not collect or store your card number or any other payment credential. Payment is handled entirely by Mercado Pago, a third-party payment processor; petitbox never sees or holds your card details.

How we use your information

• To produce, package, and ship the piece you ordered
• To generate and send your certificate of authenticity by email
• To respond to questions you send us directly
• To send occasional marketing emails, only if you subscribed to our list — you can unsubscribe at any time

Who we share it with

We share the minimum information necessary with the following service providers, each of which processes it under their own privacy terms:

• Mercado Pago — processes your payment; receives your email and order total
• Netlify — hosts petitbox.art and stores form submissions (your order and commission details, including any uploaded photo)
• Resend — delivers the certificate-of-authenticity email on our behalf

We do not sell your personal information to anyone, for any reason.

Where your information is processed

petitbox is based in Peru, but the service providers listed above may process and store data on servers located outside your own country, including in the United States. By using petitbox.art, you consent to this transfer.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as needed to fulfill your order, respond to any related questions, and comply with our own tax and accounting obligations. Commission photographs are kept only as long as needed to produce your piece, after which they are deleted.

Your rights

You can ask us, at any time, to tell you what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it — write to us at the contact below. We will act on that request within a reasonable time, except where we are required to keep certain records by law (such as sales records for tax purposes).

Cookies and tracking

petitbox.art does not use advertising or analytics cookies. The site uses your browser's local session storage only to remember small preferences during your visit, such as whether you've already seen the welcome screen — this stays on your device and is never sent to us.

Children

petitbox.art is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as petitbox grows. The date at the top of this page reflects the last revision.
