These terms govern every purchase made on petitbox.art, operated by Jose Antonio Torres from Lima, Peru. By placing an order, you agree to them.
petitbox sells limited-run apparel bearing original triangle interpretations of public-domain masterworks, a limited-edition stainless steel sculpture, and personalized commissions built from a photograph you provide. Each piece is made to order — nothing is held in ready-made inventory.
Prices are shown in US dollars throughout the site. At checkout, the total is converted to Peruvian soles at the exchange rate in effect at that time, and charged in soles through Mercado Pago, our payment processor. petitbox does not receive or store your card details.
Once your payment is confirmed, your piece enters production — nothing ships from stock. Your certificate of authenticity is generated and emailed to you separately, roughly two weeks after your purchase. We'll reach out by email if anything about your order needs confirming before it goes into production.
Standard shipping is handled through Serpost, with a typical window of 10 to 25 business days from dispatch, depending on your destination. petitbox ships internationally. Any import duties, customs fees, or local taxes charged on arrival are the buyer's responsibility, separate from the price paid at checkout.
When you upload a photograph for a commissioned piece, you confirm that you own the rights to that image, or have the permission of whoever does, to have it reinterpreted by petitbox. petitbox transforms your photograph into an original artistic interpretation — the resulting artwork is not a literal reproduction of your photo.
Because every piece is made to order specifically for you, petitbox does not accept returns for a change of mind. If your piece arrives damaged, defective, or materially different from what you ordered, write to us within 14 days of delivery with photos of the issue, and we'll arrange a replacement or a refund.
The historical paintings referenced in petitbox's catalog are in the public domain. The specific triangle interpretation, the petitbox name, and all associated branding are the property of petitbox and may not be reproduced without permission. A commissioned piece is licensed to you for personal use.
petitbox's liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not responsible for delays caused by customs, couriers, or events outside our control.
These terms are governed by the laws of Peru. Any dispute arising from a purchase will be handled under Peruvian law, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may hold under the law of your own country.
We may update these terms as petitbox grows. The date at the top of this page reflects the last revision; the terms in effect at the time of your purchase are the ones that apply to it.
